DIS:LOCATE is an interactive spatial installation. The modular installation consists of a variety of boxes, in which a combination of digital illusions rearranges the physical body in space. The visitor can explore playfully how he gets fragmented and split on different media in the virtual space. The interactive installation is searching for answers to the central issue „Where do I end and where does the projection begin?“. The visitor is invited to explore the space  and to experience this gray-zone in a self-experiment.

The team around DIS:LOCATE came together in the context of the cross academic term project „Media and Space“. It’s a cooperation between students of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, the Merz Akademie and Stuttgart Media University.
